Opened in May 2024, Royalton CHIC Antigua is the second resort in Antigua to host overwater bungalows, the other, also from the same company (Marriott), being the original Royalton Antigua in Five Islands.
The Royalton CHIC is built on the site of Halycon Cove Hotel, Dickenson Bay, just a few miles the other side of St. John’s, and follows the Royalton model of luxury all inclusives.
It offers 12, very picturesque, Caribbean overwater bungalows, or suites as they prefer to describe them as, in three different categories: Chairman, Presidential and Junior Suite.
Their entry-level, Junior Suites, are one-beds, and pretty large at 1138 square feet and cover all the bases for a luxury overwater bungalows experience: outdoor deck with plunge pools, direct access to the Caribbean, nice looking bathrooms plus outdoor showers, and large lounge areas with glass panels in the floor.
The Presidential Overwater Bungalows are also one bed, and have all the above amenities but over 1,912 square feet.
Then there’s their very impressive looking Chairman Overwater Bungalow Two Bedroom Suite, a full 3,049 square feet, it comes with all the above plus two terraces, two plunge pools, and overwater hammocks, three bathrooms, a bar, dining area and kitchenette.
All overwater bungalows offer automatic access to Marriott’s Royalton Diamond Club with extra services such as seamless check-in, VIP lounge and butler service 24/7.
